This just in: In an effort to one-up Microsoft, and come up with a forced migration path even more arduous than ASP & VB6 -> .NET, Macromedia has announced that the next version of Cold Fusion will run on J2EE servers from IBM and Sun.

Today I start a new project that involves Exchange integration, specifically synching CRM data (contacts/calendar/tasks) to Outlook clients. I would love to be able to rip and replace the Exchange requirement with a OSS replacement, but it's used enterprise-wide so that's a long shot. Regardless, I have no doubt the integration effort would be simpler.

Does BILL fit the, uh requirements? It's offered as part of a gateway distribution like e-smith. Can't tell exactly what Outlook integration they support from their documentation. It does offer a MAPI client but it's closed source. Good business model for them, but not what I'm looking for.
