Server Consolidation Comparisons Another Talli link, on virtualization options for data centers. I'm working with a client who currently has a shipping mod_perl/FreeBSD/MySQL application for Intranets. It's not an application that sees a lot of concurrent usage, so I'm suggesting that they deploy their software on VMWare for clients who don't want to deploy a BSD appliance, and absolutely must run Windows on their servers. That should work fine until mod_perl 2.0 stabilizes or it can be ported to Perlscript to appease the IIS die-hards. 4:32:41 PM      comment []  trackback []
