The focus of the wiki is on helping you make a platform choice regarding department/workgroup-level, or internet-only database applications. It will eventually include enough information on db-related software (i.e. replication, bi/reporting) that it should be very helpful in defining at least a short list for a complete solution.

The wiki covers open source and proprietary data management solutions, both mainstream and niche. It sticks primarily to RDBMS's, but does include some pages for XML and object oriented databases.

Where possible, I've included list pricing to help with your decision.
