"Minosse© is the first RDBMS (Relational DataBase* Management System) entirelly written in C#, a new and flexible coding language. The systems is intended to be both a server system or an embedded database system for applications. Minosse is also intended to be fully compatible with the most common operating systems (as Windows©, *BSD, *NIX). This can be done specially thanks to the Mono Runtime by Ximian, that is an open source implementation of the original .NET Framework by Microsoft.
Minosse fully supports SQL/92 standards, planning the support for the newest SQL/99 standards.
Minosse targets to small-to-medium needings companies in its database server mode and mission-critical applications in its embedded database mode."
