You can select one of two database managers: SolidEmbeddedEngine or Solid BoostEngine*. It provides standard SQL, ODBC and JDBC interfaces in a small footprint and delivers recoverable, shared data management for any application. Standard features include shared recoverable transactions, flexible data definitions, guaranteed data integrity, and advanced programmable tools like stored procedures, triggers and events. Solid EmbeddedEngine* puts at your fingertips the most important features of an enterprise RDBMS, encapsulated in a platform that is uniquely suited to infrastructure applications.

SolidBoostEngine* shares all the SolidEmbeddedEngine features, and adds the ability to locate tables either in memory for speed, or on disk for economy. This allows you to finely tune the price/performance of your application."
