From the 2005 second flush season, this organic tea is one of the most carefully produced teas in all of Darjeeling. The delicate leaves are plucked promptly at the break of dawn, when there is still dew on the bushes. They are then dried in the sun for a few hours, rolled in fine silk cloth and then finished with a final round of sun-drying. Nine to ten pluckers are required to harvest enough leaf to produce a kilogram of finished tea. The supply of this superbly handcrafted tea is very limited, and we are pleased to be one of the few sources of this tea.

ZY48: China Yunnan Jing Mao Hou (100g)

This Yunnan province organic tea is well balanced with bright flavor, smoothness, and a hint of pungency. Apple-like notes are noticeable within the flavor nuances. The name literally means "Golden Monkey Hair," referring to the luxuriant golden leaf tips.
